Here I sit, one person,
A speck within a vast cloud,
The immenseness of the world.
Finding solace in simple things...
The splashing of the rain alive.
The relative silence.
Yet looking ahead to later in the day,
The time in which everything happens.
Knowing the silence will soon be broken.
Oh, let me bask in this silence now!
Reflect upon it. The silence...
Oh what I would give for this silence to be maintained.
Silence the wars! Silence the poverty!
Silence the hunger! Silence the fear.
Silence the greed, silence the ego!
Silence the anger, that which consumes me,
consumes us, consumes the beauty of life...
Let nature do the talking.
